Grief Support Group for Mothers Whose Child Has Died

The Broken Angels Grief Support Group
is for mothers who have experienced the death of their teen or young adult child due to drug or alcohol abuse, overdose, suicide while having a substance abuse problem or any drug or alcohol related health issues. 
We each have lost a child who was a teenager or in their twenties who had a substance abuse problem.
Our grief support group was started by two South Florida mothers who did not know each other prior to our son's Oxycodone overdoses. We had both felt very isolated and alone until we met at a support group for parents who have  lost a child. Our grief was more complicated than other parents that we met. We knew that there were other mothers like ourselves who needed the support and compassion that only another bereaved mother who lost a child who was troubled and abused drugs could understand. 

 The children of our group members have died due to substance abuse problems or drug and alcohol related issues even if that was not the direct cause of their death. They could have overdosed or committed suicide while having problems with drugs or they could have health issues due to the substances they abused. It does not matter if our troubled children died exactly the same way, no two are ever alike. However, we each had to face the unthinkable, the death of our child.

South Florida has become one of the states that has the largest amount of deaths due to drugs. The mothers of those who die are left to deal with the tragedy. Bereaved mothers often feel like they are the only ones who have ever felt such heartbreak. We feel so alone in our despair and grief.

You have friends who you have not met yet who want to reach out and provide support, compassion, understanding and love to bereaved mothers like ourselves who have lost our child.
We are finding support together as we struggle with the reality of the death of our child.We are helping each other.

 When a child has died as a result of substance abuse, drug overdose, drug or alcohol related suicide or drug or alcohol related health problems, there are specific issues that  mothers will have. We truly understand, because we've been there too.You are not alone.

Margate, Sunrise, Coconut Creek,Coral Springs,Parkland, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach. 
Also Serving Coconut Creek, Sunrise, Tamarac and Plantation.
 Serving Southern Palm Beach County and Northern Broward County.
